North Carolina Mountains

We are on our way to the North Carolina mountains and I wanted to share a few pics from last years trip.

Last year, Chris, our oldest son, Graham, and I went through Georgia to pick up my mother.

Our oldest and only daughter, Ivey, along with husband Kyle and our two granddaughters, Emerson and Tabatha joined us in Linville at a home we had rented for the family. Our youngest son, Mason and his wife Becky were unable to join us, having recently moved and  both with new jobs.

This year, Graham and his new wife Jamie were unable to come, starting their new life together and Graham beginning a new job.

Chris and I stopped to pick up my mother again. Along with Ivey, Kyle, Em and Tab, Mason and Becky are able to come up this year and we are all very excited. The grand girls have grown quite a bit since these pictures.

I hope that you and your loved ones can get away for a family trip!

This was our view of Grandfather Mountain from the home we rented in Linville Ridge. The weather was beautiful!

🍁This year we are going up a week early hoping to see more nature and less crowds.  We just want to take our time and enjoy each other and make some more great memories  🍂

North Carolina Mountains

Well, It is October again and you know that most of us Floridians head to the mountains! My husband and I got married on November 28th, 1980 and spent our honeymoon in Banner Elk, NC.  And thus began not only our love affair, but one with the beautiful mountains of North Carolina…

Grandfather Mountain '80'sOne of our favorite places to visit is Grandfather Mountain. We have been taking our children to those beautiful mountains for years and have even owned a couple of mountain homes, thinking that if we had our own place up there, we would spend more time up there. Wrong and wrong again. Life usually gets in the way of a family with three children involved in EVERYTHING.

A pic of the fam playing golf on Seven Devils in the ’90’s, minus Mom, of course, taking the pic.

After five years of being away, we will return this year, with the addition of our sweet mother and our two beautiful granddaughters!

Thanks for reading. Pictures to follow of the return trip.
